Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force is soliciting proposals for Call 01 MASH - Joint All Domain Persistent Adaptive Collaborative Technologies II (JADPACT II). This effort seeks innovative Human-Machine Teaming (HMT) concepts leveraging AI/automation to enhance Battle Management and Command and Control (C2) decision advantage within the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) Campaign Plan 2030. The Multi Decision Advantage Sprint for Human-machine teaming (MASH) event is tentatively scheduled for May 4–15, 2026, in Las Vegas, NV. Proposals are due March 14, 2026.
Opportunity Overview
This solicitation (FA2384-26-S-B005) from the Air Force Research Laboratory aims to integrate industry solutions to develop and adapt cutting-edge AI/automation approaches for Battle Managers. The project will utilize the Transformational Model for Decision Advantage (TM) and model-based systems engineering to analyze C2 decision domains, focusing on emerging C2 solutions for complex, high-volume battle management scenarios. The goal is to ensure warfighter involvement in AI/autonomy development.
Scope of Work
The primary objective is to develop HMT concepts that support Battle Managers by leveraging AI/automation. This involves:
- Developing and adapting AI/automation approaches aligned with the Transformational Model (TM) for Decision Advantage.
- Focusing on emerging C2 solutions that support decision-making and decision advantage.
- Assessing the maturity of software services that complete specific decision functions (PAE, MEF, GBC) during MASH events.
- Demonstrating successful live integration with the Government Digital Assist Orchestrator and functional relevance of the AI tool.
- Contributing to human-machine team performance by enabling faster and better decisions. The current scenario focus is on Control and Reporting Center/Contingency Response Element (CRC/CRE) Battle Management, though this is subject to change.
