Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace one (1) existing packaged gas furnace and air conditioning unit at the Bromide House, Platt District, Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

• Removal of Existing Equipment: Disconnect, remove, and properly dispose of the current unit, including refrigerant recovery in accordance with EPA regulations, and securing utilities.

• Furnish New Equipment: Provide one (1) new packaged gas furnace and air conditioning unit of equal or greater capacity and efficiency, which must be new, unused, and compatible with existing building systems (unless modifications are approved by the COR).

• Installation: Install the new unit in the existing location, connecting it to existing ductwork, gas service, electrical service, thermostat wiring, condensate drain, and venting systems. This includes providing necessary transitions, fittings, supports, fasteners, insulation, and sealants, and modifying systems as needed for code compliance.

• Electrical and Mechanical Work: Ensure all electrical connections, disconnects, conduit, and wiring are provided for a complete installation. Connect gas piping with approved materials, install condensate drain piping with proper slope and trap, and verify combustion air and exhaust venting.

• Startup and Testing: Start up the system, test all operating modes, verify correct gas pressure, airflow, refrigerant charge, thermostat operation, and safety controls, and adjust system settings for proper performance.

• Location: Bromide House, Platt District, Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Murray County, Oklahoma.

• Codes, Standards, and Regulations: Compliance with current versions of International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), National Electrical Code (NEC), EPA refrigerant handling regulations, State of Oklahoma and local codes, and National Park Service policies and standards.

• Site Conditions and Protection: Coordinate work schedules and site access with the COR. Protect historic features, building finishes, landscaping, and surrounding areas from damage. Maintain clean and safe work areas. Repair any damage to Government property at no additional cost.

• Safety: Comply with OSHA requirements and NPS safety policies. The contractor is responsible for the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the public. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used.

• Submittals: Prior to installation, submit manufacturer's specifications and cut sheets for the proposed HVAC unit, and warranty information. Upon completion, submit startup and testing documentation.

• Warranty: Manufacturer warranties apply to all equipment. The Contractor shall warrant workmanship and installation for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of Government acceptance.

• Acceptance and Closeout: Work acceptance is contingent upon verification that the unit is fully installed and operational, all testing is complete, the site is cleaned and restored, and all required documentation is submitted and approved.
