Quick Summary

The USDA Forest Service is soliciting quotations for Demolition and Removal Services of the Sandia Crest House structure and associated infrastructure within the Sandia Crest Recreation Complex on the Cibola National Forest in New Mexico. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The project also includes optional demolition work for additional recreation residences and structures at Lake Marvin. Quotations are due by May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM Pacific Time.

Scope of Work

The primary scope involves the full demolition and off-site disposal of the Sandia Crest House, including its concrete slab, stem walls, footings, metal roof, wood decks, stairs, and two septic systems. Post-demolition, the site requires restoration to a natural state, including furnishing imported soil and grading. A 6-foot chain link privacy fence will be installed around the demolition area.

Optional items include:

  • Optional Item #1: Demolition and off-site disposal of the Dyer and Del Toro recreation residences (Casa Loma Recreation Residences) and associated infrastructure, followed by site restoration.
  • Optional Item #2: Demolition and off-site disposal of the Lake Marvin recreation building area and eight cabins, including concrete slabs, stone chimneys, and other components, with subsequent site restoration.

All demolition debris, including identified asbestos-containing material (ACM) and potential lead-based paint (LBP), must be removed and disposed of at approved, licensed facilities in compliance with EPA, OSHA, DOT, federal, state, and local regulations. Demolition equipment must be cleaned to prevent noxious weed spread.
