Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the manufacture of the "Lifting Clamp Assembly #47" in accordance with Drawing 4398614 and numerous associated specifications, including NAVSEA Technical Publications and MIL-STDs. Key requirements include:
- Design & Manufacturing: Adherence to material, mechanical, physical, welding, and test requirements specified in Drawing 4398614.
- Welding & NDT: Performance of welding and nondestructive testing (magnetic particle or liquid penetrant) per NAVSEA Technical Publications S9074-AR-GIB-010/278, T9074-AS-GIB-010/271, and MIL-STD-2035. Welders must be qualified per S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248.
- Testing: Mandatory First Article Testing/Inspection (FAT/FAI) and 100% Production Lot Testing/Inspection (PLT/PLI), including weight and holding capacity tests. Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) (7.5 DIAMETER MAST (MANDREL)) will be provided for testing. NSWCPD approval is required for all procedures and reports.
- Marking: Permanent marking and identification per MIL-STD-130, including matched set serial numbers for clamp halves.
- Quality Assurance: Supplier's Quality Inspection System must comply with MIL-I-45208 or ISO 9001, and NCSL Z540.3 or ISO 10012. Requires submission of a Quality Inspection and Test Plan, FAT/FAI procedures and reports, and PLT/PLI reports for Government approval.
- Mercury Free: Strict prohibition of mercury contamination for materials used on submarines/surface ships.
