• Option Items: All option items have been removed from the contract, and specifications will be amended accordingly. Signs and the road closure gate shown on drawing sheet C8.1 are also eliminated.
• Bat Reporting: Contractors must immediately report any dead or injured bats to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Asbestos/Lead: There is no asbestos or lead paint present on this project.
• Phasing: The project does not require phasing; the entire campground will be closed for aggressive completion.
• Site Work Start: On-site work is anticipated to begin in late summer to early fall.
• Permitting: All state and county permits are required.
• Soil Boring Reports: Soil boring was not conducted. Excavations are shallow, but rock is anticipated.
• Bulk Water: Water for grading is the contractor's responsibility; bulk water is available in Custer, SD.
• Red/Yellow/Blue Tops: These are not required if construction tolerances can be met by other methods.
• SWPPP: An SWPPP is required.
• Silt Fence: Silt fence is not required around the entire project. Pricing for erosion control (per section 312500) should be included in Base Item #1.
• Temporary Power/Water: The contractor is not required to supply temporary power and water.
