Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide long-term corrosion protection for internal surfaces of three (3) water-cooled chiller condenser water boxes, tubesheets, and heads in Building 450 at Argonne National Laboratory.

• Furnish all labor, supervision, engineering, materials, equipment, containment systems, waste disposal, quality control, and incidentals.

• Perform internal surface preparation (abrasive blast to SSPC-SP10 / NACE No. 2 minimum) and surface restoration (repair pitting/irregularities with epoxy).

• Apply a two-coat high-build immersion-rated coating system with a minimum total dry film thickness (DFT) of 20 mils.

• Conduct inspection (DFT readings, holiday detection, defect repair) and provide documentation.

• No proprietary products are specified; proposed systems must meet performance requirements.

• Work to be performed by contractor's direct employees; subcontracting is not preferred.

• Verified adhesion and coating thickness meeting manufacturer specifications.

• Minimum five (5) year performance warranty against coating failure.

• Compliance with SSPC/NACE standards, OSHA regulations, coating manufacturer technical data sheets, and Argonne ES&H requirements (most stringent shall govern).
