Scope of Work
The requirement is for bagged block and crushed ice (40-50 lbs per bag), which must be consumable, frozen solid, and made from potable water. Bags must be delivered on pallets (minimum 40W x 48L). The contractor producing and/or supplying the ice must be on the approved Military Veterinary/Food Services list and located within a 100-mile radius or three hours of Fort Benning, GA. Deliveries are required within 72 hours of order notification, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm EST (excluding Federal Holidays). An end-of-month ordering report is also required.
Contract Details
This opportunity is for a Firm-Fixed Price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). Two contractors will be awarded and will rotate monthly for BPA calls. Failure to comply with the Statement of Work or delivery schedule may result in forfeiture of a call month or termination for cause. The NAICS code is 312113 (Ice Manufacturing) with a size standard of 750 employees. The period of performance is To Be Determined (TBD).
Submission & Evaluation
This is an RFQ, and offerors must be responsive and determined responsible in accordance with FAR Part 9.104-1. Submissions should follow the instructions in FAR 52.212-1. The SF 1449 form is not being used. Evaluation factors are Price and Technical Acceptability, with Past Performance also reviewed. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to award.
