Scope of Work

- Hazardous Material Abatement: Abatement and disposal of identified asbestos siding (15% Chrysotile in tile material) and lead-based paint detected above regulatory limits in several areas. OSHA's Lead in Construction Standard (29 CFR 1926.62) applies.
- Demolition: Complete demolition of the restaurant building only. The ice vending area, parking lot wooden fence, and specific trees are excluded from this scope.
- Site Preparation: Backfilling and compacting the site with clean aggregate material to achieve a finished grade of 9.2 feet NAVD88. Crush and run aggregate is acceptable.
- Utility Disconnection: Disconnection of water and electrical services to the tiki area and airboat concession.
- Safety & Compliance: Contractor must develop a Hazard Analysis & Safety Plan and comply with OSHA, EPA, and state/local safety/environmental laws. A Miami-Dade County demolition permit is not required for this federal project.
