This document provides responses to vendor questions regarding a solicitation, clarifying requirements for a container procurement.

• Unloading Capabilities: The government will NOT provide unloading capabilities from a chassis.
• A/C Unit Substitution: Substitution of the specified PTAC A/C unit for a through-wall A/C unit is NOT permitted, but a thermostat is required.
• Lighting Substitution: Substitution of 4' LED lights for LED inset lights IS permitted.
• Wall Finish: The RFQ suggests 1-1/2" Foam Insulation, Board, 3/8" Plywood With White Textured Plastic Lining, or equivalent for climate control. The RFQ mentions ICC-ESR compliant containers with steel flooring, but also calls for wood flooring. The government requires WOOD FLOORING.
• Interior Walls: Finished panels installed over foam board insulation ARE required.
• Container Closure: Standard cargo doors cannot be opened from the inside. If occupancy is expected while closed, a personnel door would need to be installed. The government states this is NOT required.
• Electrical Power: The container requires COOLING: 15k BTU, E HEAT: 3kW, POWER/BREAKER: 230/208/1PH, NEMA 3 DISCONNECT, NEMA 1 ELECTRICAL PANEL, PTAC – VOLT 240 / WATT3Kw / AMPS 12.5, PTAC RECEPTACLE – 240 VOLT, GFCI RECEPTACLE – 120 VOLT.
• Unloading Delivery: A tilt-bed trailer or crane support can be arranged at an additional cost to the COMMAND.

• Container Type: 40ft High cube, one trip.
• Dimensions: 8' wide x 40' long.
• Weight: Approximately 10,000 lbs.
• Construction: Corten steel, 1-1/8" thick wood flooring (marine grade plywood or bamboo).
• Insulation: Climate controlled floor plan, 1" Styrofoam on interior walls, 2 layers of 1" Styrofoam on ceiling, 1" insulating polyurethane spray foam under the floor (R-6.5 closed cell).
• Features: Operable cargo doors (2), Standard 4' LED Light fixtures (3), Duplex GFI outlet (1), 15K PTAC unit (1).
• Finishing: Exterior base paint (color TBD) with a 5-year warranty.
• Certifications: ICC-ESR or equivalent safety certification required.
• Vendor Requirements: Must be an authorized reseller to quote. Vendors must provide sufficient descriptive literature, drawings, or diagrams to demonstrate compliance with specifications. Failure to provide adequate information may result in a technically unacceptable quotation.

This attachment provides the critical technical specifications for the containers. Bidders must carefully review these requirements to ensure their proposed product meets all listed criteria. The "Must be an authorized reseller" clause and the requirement for descriptive literature are key submission stipulations.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This solicitation is for the procurement of one 40-foot high cube, climate-controlled container. The container is intended for one-trip use and has specific dimensions and construction requirements.

• Dimensions: 8' wide x 40' long tall nominal

• Weight: Approximately 10,000 lbs

• Corten steel construction

• 1-1/8" thick wood flooring

• Climate controlled floor plan

• 1" Styrofoam on interior walls

• 2 layers of 1" Styrofoam on ceiling

• Operable cargo doors

• Marine grade plywood or bamboo floors

• Standard 4' LED Light fixtures

• Duplex GFI outlet

• 15K PTAC unit

• Exterior base paint (color TBD) with a 5-year warranty

• 1" insulating polyurethane spray foam (R-6.5 closed cell) under the floor (320 sq ft)

• Must be an authorized reseller to quote.

• Vendors must provide sufficient descriptive literature, drawings, or diagrams to demonstrate compliance with specifications.

• ICC-ESR or equivalent safety certification is required.

• Pricing Arrangement: Firm Fixed Price

• Warranty: Standard commercial warranty, with the full coverage extended to the Government at no additional cost. The contract terms and conditions take precedence over the commercial warranty. The warranty period is to be inserted by the offeror.
