• Selective Site Demo – Tree Removal: The tree has been removed, but stumps remain. Pricing to grind stumps and roots is required. (See Q1)
• Work Schedule & Occupancy: Bunkhouses and laundry rooms are off-limits from April 15th to October 31st due to seasonal employees. Other buildings have year-round residents. Specific notice periods are required before starting work in the Lowman House (2 months) and duplexes (30 days).
• Furniture Moving: The contractor is responsible for moving furniture, considered incidental to selective demolition.
• Additional Work: Bid only on contract items; additional work will be handled via change orders.
• Project Solicitations: Lowman, Crawford, and Idaho City projects are solicited separately, despite similar funding sources.
• Sanitary Waste System: This item covers work related to realigning drain lines for moved fixtures/appliances within crawl spaces.

• Handrails/Guardrails: Not required for sidewalks with a 5% slope or less.

• Concrete Sidewalks: Contractors are responsible for demolition and preparation for new sidewalks. Subgrade may remain in place unless otherwise specified. Specific pay items are designated for demolition and concrete work.
• Door Sizes: New doors are not always the same size as existing openings; contractors are responsible for framing, drywall, and casing modifications.
• Appliance Disposal: Existing washers and dryers are to be salvaged and delivered to a Forest Service warehouse.
