Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide services for the removal of logs within designated areas of Selfridge Air National Guard Base (SANGB), Michigan, to support aircraft safety requirements and mitigate Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) concerns. The log piles are a result of previous tree cuttings and have become environmental and safety hazards.

• Provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control for log removal.

• Lawfully remove and dispose of cut and stacked logs from identified locations on base.

• Ensure drainage ditches in designated areas are clear and obstacle-free to prevent ponding that may attract wildlife.

• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning wetland protection, soil erosion, and waste disposal.

• Burning is not an authorized disposal method.

• Restore all disturbed ground surfaces to their pre-work condition upon completion.

• Performance hours are Monday through Friday, 0700-1630 Eastern Standard Time, excluding recognized US holidays or government-closed days.
