Purpose & Scope
The objective is to design and provide a High Pressure Waterjet Boiler Cleaning Unit for the X-41 Boiler Shop. The unit must be capable of onboard boiler cleaning using waterjet technology and include a built-in mixing system for sodium nitrite water solution. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation. A local Japanese dealer network for maintenance and repair is required.
Key Requirements & Deliverables
- Unit Design: Must include a 120-gallon water tank, a minimum 35-gallon chemical tank for sodium nitrite, and a mixing system (17:1 ratio).
- Pump Unit: High-pressure electric-driven displacement pump (max 12,000 psig, max 22.0 U.S. gallons/min) with adjustable pumping speed, water cooling, and vibration damping.
- Safety Features: Rupture disc, pressure regulators, lockable power disconnect, GFCI protection, and automatic shutdown switches.
- Utilities: Requires 480V, 3P3W, 60 Hz electric power and 100 psig compressed air.
