Scope of Work

The project involves constructing a two-bay aircraft hangar with a concrete foundation, floor slab, steel high bay, standing seam metal roof, cranes, motorized hangar doors, and fire alarm/suppression systems including water storage tanks. The facility will house an aircraft maintenance unit with administrative areas, tool room, supply/bench stock, storage, shop areas, emergency showers, locker rooms, and a break area. It also includes a fleet service terminal for transient alert functions, overhead covered storage, and airfield pavements for hangar access. Airfield work encompasses clearing, excavation, base material, concrete pavement, asphalt shoulders, markings, storm water management, and lighting, integrated into a new apron. A 500kW generator will support maintenance operations. The project requires the demolition of Buildings 4809 (4,523 SM) and 4826 (209 SM). Supporting facilities such as utilities, communications, parking, sidewalks, passive force protection, and site improvements are included. Facilities must be permanent construction per UFC 1-200-01, comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection per UFC 4-010-01, and include one 120-ton AC unit.
