Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure emergency medical technician (EMT) services and supplies for Alcatraz Island, a highly visited tourist site managed by the National Park Service (NPS).

• Furnish labor, IT equipment for patient care reports, EMT uniforms, and supervision for prehospital emergency medical services.

• Provide one (1) uniformed Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) or California state EMT equivalent for on-island services.

• Personnel must work under the direction of the NPS Medical Director and follow NPS EMS Protocols and Procedures (2025).

• Utilize IT equipment to complete electronic patient care reports in the EMS Charts system.

• Administer emergency medical services to sick or injured parties and notify appropriate authorities.

• Provide NPS with a bi-weekly schedule of EMT work assignments.

• Maintain a set schedule for consistency, with changes communicated to the COR and staff.

• Limit staffing to four personnel, with three preferred (two full-time, one back-up).

• Provide original EMT Patient Care Reports for all prehospital care provided, including electronic submission.
