Quick Summary

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for Enterprise Endpoint Support Services (EESS). This RFI seeks information from qualified vendors capable of providing a next-generation IT support solution, including a 24x7 Service Desk, AI-enabled tools, on-site deskside support, and complementary engineering, cybersecurity, and ITSM development resources. This is for planning purposes only and may lead to a future Total Small Business Set-Aside procurement. RFI responses are due by February 17, 2026.

Scope of Work

JPL is seeking capabilities for a comprehensive IT support solution. Key areas include:

  • 24x7 Service Desk: Tier 0-2 support via multiple channels, leveraging AI agents.
  • Advanced AI-enabled Tools: Integration of automation and AI, with cloud services requiring FedRAMP Moderate certification.
  • On-site Deskside Support: Dedicated field agents, walk-up support, and hardware logistics.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Patch management, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 compliance, vulnerability remediation.
  • Endpoint Engineering: OS baseline management, tool management (MS Config Mgr, Jamf, Intune), deployment automation.
  • Mobility Service Management: Carrier contract management, cost optimization, MDM using Microsoft Intune.
  • ServiceNow Development: Platform sustainment, feature development (ITSM, HRSD, Service Catalog), integrations.
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Management: AWS Workspaces or alternative VDI solutions.

Note: Computer hardware procurement will be handled via a separate solicitation.

Contract & Timeline

  • Type: Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)
  • Set-Aside: Total Small Business Set-Aside (NAICS 541513, size standard $37 million).
  • Contract Type (Anticipated): Single award, FAR-based subcontract under JPL's Prime Contract with NASA.

  • RFI Response Due: February 17, 2026.
  • Anticipated RFP Release: Mid-2026.
  • Anticipated Subcontract Award: Early to mid-2027.

Key Clarifications

  • JPL is platform-agnostic for AI/automation tools.
  • NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 compliance is required for contractor-managed devices.
  • An off-site facility near JPL is required for office space and secure warehouse storage.
  • Teaming arrangements such as Mentor-Protégé or Joint Ventures are permitted.
