Scope of Work
Contractors will provide comprehensive ORC support services, including:
- Maintaining and caring for 120–400 Wild Horses and Burros (WHBs) annually.
- Providing adequate feed, minerals, and water to maintain animals in moderate condition (Henneke score 5-7).
- Operating and maintaining fenced facilities with quarantine and holding pens, ensuring proper drainage and dust control.
- Performing animal handling tasks such as unloading, sorting, identification, restraint, vaccinations, deworming, and hoof trimming.
- Furnishing veterinary services (not to exceed $350/year per animal) and hoof trimming.
- Submitting daily feed & care logs, incident reports, and transportation notifications.
- Ensuring personnel complete mandatory CAWP and Euthanasia training annually.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) task orders.
- Period of Performance: Five (5) years from contract award (base year + four 1-year ordering periods).
- Estimated Value: The cumulative maximum for all IDIQ contracts awarded in Region 6 is $3,500,000.
- Minimum Order Guarantee: $10,000 per IDIQ.
