- Facilities: Providing and maintaining adequate corrals (minimum 700 sq ft per animal for holding, 400 sq ft for separate corrals), covered working areas, and ensuring clean, dry pens.
- Health Care: Furnishing veterinary services (vaccinations, deworming, EIA tests, emergency treatment up to $350/year per animal), with a veterinarian on call within 4 hours. Hoof trimming is also required.
- Operations: Carcass disposal, facility security (locked gates, fencing), and mandatory annual BLM CAWP training.
- Reporting: Daily feed/care logs, incident reports (within 24 hours), and transportation notifications (72 hours prior).
