Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, and disposal services to:
- Remove approximately 3,000 gallons of #2 fuel oil from an out-of-service 4,500-gallon above-ground storage tank (AST).
- Clean and decontaminate the tank interior.
- Render the tank vapor-free for testing and place it in a safe condition for permanent out-of-service status.
- Safeguard the tank against tampering or unauthorized reuse.
- Provide documentation of the final tank condition and waste disposition.
Note: Physical removal of the tank is explicitly NOT required. The work must comply with various standards including NFPA 30, NFPA 326, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 & 1910.120, EPA RCRA (40 CFR Part 279), DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR Parts 100–185), Georgia EPD requirements, and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
