Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force (AFLCMC/PAE C3BM) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for the CRC RRSVS TCRR program. This RFI seeks industry input on current or future voice/data communications suites within Tactical C2 to develop a Tactical Operations Center Remote Radio (TCRR) system. Responses are due by March 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM MST.
Purpose & Scope
This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal. The government aims to gather information to develop a TCRR system that mirrors the capabilities of the TOC-L MR2 radio subsystems. The TCRR is expected to provide hardware and integration for a remote radio interface, offering a remote suite of TOC mission-capable radios for use via a remote interface with TOC-L MR2. The system should support secure voice and data communications in forward battle management areas when connected to a TOC-L Enabled CRC.
Key Requirements
- TCRR System: Must have maximum TOC-L commonality and ABMS integration for technical interoperability, cost, training, and product support efficiencies.
- Functionality: Provide a remote suite of TOC mission-capable radios, support mobilization to forward battle management areas for secure voice/data.
- Integration: Integrate with CRC sensors, use the same transit case system as TOC-L.
- Radios: Utilize self-encrypting L3Harris radios (PRC-160 and PRC-167) with NSA Type 1 encryption.
- Connectivity: Interface with CRC-provided long-haul connections (COMSATCOM, MILSATCOM, 4G/5G, or commercial internet) using bulk encryption via a KG-175 encryptor.
- User Interface: Provide voice/data switching and user interfaces consistent with REDCOM systems in TOC-L.
Submission & Timeline
- Response Due: March 2, 2026, by 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
- Submission Method: Via email, not exceeding 10 pages.
- Information Requested: Technical Approach and Design Reuse, Data Rights and Government-Furnished Information, Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) estimates, Schedule Realism, Integration and Sustainment approach, Cost Efficiency and Lifecycle Considerations, and Relevant Experience.
- Classification: Responses can be at the Secret//Collateral level of classification.
Set-Aside
None specified.
Additional Notes
Nongovernmental A&AS support may be used for review. The government will not pay for RFI responses. Not responding does not preclude participation in any future RFP. A signed DD 2345 is required to access the attachment; send to the Point of Contact.
