Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive firestop repair services, including:
- Repairing rated walls and locations as identified in Appendix 2, based on completed through-penetration surveys.
- Installing UL Approved Firestop Systems in various rated barriers, such as through-the-wall penetrations, membrane penetrations, construction joints, floor penetrations, ceiling penetrations, and drywall installations.
- Ensuring adherence to ASTM E 814, UL 1479, or UL 2079 tested assemblies.
- Consulting with the Engineering/Facilities Management Team before penetrating load-bearing assemblies.
- Labeling all repaired systems with UL System details, installation date, and installer initials.
- Providing "Before" and "After" pictures for every installed Firestop System.
- Adhering to VA TVHS infection control and patient safety procedures.
