This solicitation is for the replacement of garage doors at the Welaka National Fish Hatchery (NFH). The selected offeror will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and incidental items necessary for the project.

• Replacement of garage doors.

• The scope of work includes removal of old garage doors, provision of hardware for new doors, and installation of new garage doors.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Construction.

• Estimated Construction Contract Price: Less than $25,000.

• Period of Performance: 10 calendar days after notice to proceed for commencement, and 14 calendar days after notice to proceed for completion.

• Quotes must be submitted via email to Christina_mann@fws.gov by the deadline specified in the solicitation.

• Offerors must submit a completed SF 1442, completed Prices (Quote Schedule), a separate breakdown of price, and any other required information.

• The award will be made to the responsible respondent submitting the quotation with the lowest evaluated price determined fair and reasonable.

• Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing to Christina_Mann@fws.gov by Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST.

• This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is set aside for small business concerns.

• A site visit is scheduled for January 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, 726 County Road 309, Welaka, FL 32193. RSVP is required 24 hours prior to the site visit.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace five (5) existing garage doors at the Welaka National Fish Hatchery, Welaka Unit, located at 726 County Road 309, Welaka, FL 32193. The current doors are in disrepair, compromising security and contributing to theft and vandalism.

• Remove and set aside old doors, tracks, and hardware for hatchery recycling.

• Install five (5) new, hurricane-rated, 10' x 9' sectional garage doors.

• Doors must be manually operated from the outside with new hardware suitable for low overhead tracks.

• Doors must meet wind load requirements for Putnam County, FL.

• All external locks must be keyed to a single key.

• Doors must be dark brown in color.

• Ensure all doors function properly and are lockable.

• Place of Performance: 726 County Road 309, Welaka, FL 32193.

• Period of Performance: 14 days.

• Normal Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Contractor must provide emergency contact information.

• Contractor Qualifications: Must have experience in replacing garage doors in Florida.

• Government Acceptance: Contingent upon working garage doors that are lockable with the same key and easy to use with pull-down ropes for closing.

• Quality Control: Door color must be dark brown, approved by the Acting Project Leader.

• No government-furnished equipment will be available.

• Tear out of existing doors and hardware.

• Installation of new low headroom track and hardware.

• Installation of five (5) 10' x 9' commercial sectional garage doors, dark brown, with external locks keyed to a single key.
