Scope of Work

The USAF Test Pilot School requires non-personnel flight training services, including:

  • Aircraft Services: AT-802 (to include water drops) and Grob 120TP or similar spin training aircraft services.
  • Specialty Flights: "Jetpack", rocket pack, personal flight pack, and personal services to promote pilot readiness.
  • Instruction: Provide Instructor Pilots to USAF TPS staff pilots and approved flyers for FAA ratings and flight hours.
  • Aircraft Operation: Allow TPS staff pilots and approved flyers to operate aircraft as FAA Certified Flight Instructors for Qualitative Evaluation (QE) flights.
  • Training Content: Instruct students/staff on typical aircraft operation, upset/recovery training, aerobatics, and student examinations, including ground operations.
  • Test Management Projects (TMPs): Support TMPs which may involve GA aircraft and other air systems.

Performance will be evaluated on in-flight/in-class instruction effectiveness, aircraft/crew availability, qualified instructor pilots, regulatory compliance, and customer complaints.
