Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace standpipes and bases on the sewer lift station at building 509 on Joint Base Charleston Air Base, South Carolina.

• Provide all plant, labor, material, parts, and equipment for the replacement.

• Sewer Lift Station Contractor Requirements:

  • Perform OSHA Permitted Confined Space Entry (CSE).
  • Plug manhole and install bypass pump.
  • Pull old pump #1 and perform CSE to remove #1 guiderails, standpipe, and base.
  • Set new base, standpipe, and reinstall existing guide rails with new brackets.
  • Repeat the process for the remaining three standpipes.
  • Test all components for functionality upon installation.

• Water and Fuel Shop (CE) Requirements:

  • Set up a bypass pump to maintain sewage pumping operations during equipment removal.
  • Disconnect power to pumps and control panel, and apply lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Use heavy equipment to lift out and disconnect power cables from the four existing sewage pumps (old pumps remain government property).
  • Use heavy equipment to lower and install the four new sewage pumps.
  • Coordinate with the contractor to remove locks and restore power after installation.
