Additive Item #1: Hazardous Material Abatement, Removal and Disposal

• Abatement, removal, and disposal of all hazardous materials.

• Contract time is limited to 112 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, including all base bid and additive items.

• Professional Engineer, Electrical Contractor, Plumbing Contractor, and Mechanical Contractor must be California State licensed.

• Contractor must be California trained and certified for lead-based paint work.

• Contractor shall maintain current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

• Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.

• A Work Plan, including personnel, training, safety plans, quality assurance, waste management, and project schedule, must be submitted.

• The Goose Valley Fire Station is co-located with the Palomar Ranger District Office; nearby barracks, garage, offices, warehouse, and training buildings are not to be disturbed.
