Quick Summary

The Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems (PM-CAS), is conducting a Sources Sought market survey (W15QKN-25-X-1AXT) to identify capable sources for the production of Gas Adsorbent Modules (GAMs). This market research aims to support Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 through FY 2030 requirements. Capability Statements are due by January 23, 2026.

Scope of Work

The requirement is for the production of Gas Adsorbent Modules (GAMs), which are essential for mitigating and neutralizing phosphine gas emissions in ammunition containers. High concentrations of phosphine are a health hazard and can cause spontaneous combustion. Each GAM is a two-piece red plastic ring containing powdered manganese dioxide and cuprous oxide. It measures approximately 1.85 inches in height, 3.1 inches outer diameter, and 2.3 inches inner diameter, constructed from high-impact polystyrene. Inside, two Tyvek bags with phosphine adsorbent are secured by Melt Processable Rubber (MPR) retainers.
