Sources Sought Notice

This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes to identify potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), 8(a), HubZone, and other Small Businesses capable of providing Nuclear Medical Physicist and MRSE (Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert) Services for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS. This notice is not an invitation for bid or a request for proposal, and no contract will be awarded based on this notice.

• Inspection Services: Medical physicists must perform imaging equipment inspections (x-ray, nuclear medicine, PET/CT, ultrasound, MRI) to ensure compliance with current American College of Radiology (ACR) requirements and applicable Federal/State regulations. This includes detailed testing of various equipment types (Radiographic, CR/DR, CT, Dental, MRI, PET, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound) as outlined in the PWS.

• MRSE Services: Provide guidance on clinical and administrative aspects of MR equipment safety, develop local MR safety rules and procedures, assist with MRI protocols for patients with implanted devices, participate in planning/installation/acceptance testing of new MR equipment, and serve as a subject matter expert for MRI-related adverse events.

• Support Services: Includes telephone support for radiation safety matters, annual review of protocols and QA programs, shielding design calculations, support for planning affecting radiation use areas, overexposure support/assistance, and maintenance of reports and records.

• The current contract for physicist services (36C25521D0022) expires January 31, 2026. A Base +4 contract is anticipated.

• Interested parties must submit a capability statement addressing their qualifications and ability to perform the work.
