This solicitation is for the procurement of services for the repair of the Heated Salt Bath Furnace located at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) in Jacksonville, Florida. The furnace is operational, but electrode replacement is overdue, and the tank requires inspection, necessitating the pumping out of molten salts.

• Pumping out molten salts (approx. 870 degrees Fahrenheit) using provided pumps and piping.

• Replacing old electrodes and auxiliary heaters with new ones, including mounting hardware and flexible braid connections.

• Replacing all fuses in the fuse box with specified types (15 Amps, 600 VAC/150 VDC, 200 kA (AC)/20 kA (DC), Class CC, current limiting, time-delay, slow blow, cylindrical, ferrule, rejection-type, LP-CC, melamine tube, 12-second response time).

• Replacing four existing thermocouples with four new specified thermocouples (2x Type K Temperature Control, 2x Type K High Limit, 2x Type N).

• Replacing wiring from the fuse box to auxiliary heaters with specified wire (12 AWG, 65 strands, 550°C/1022°F temperature rating, 600 volts, nickel-plated copper, mica-glass composite insulation, fiberglass braid with silicone coating, UL 5400, AWM I A/B FT1).

• Performing a comprehensive tank inspection, including:

  • External visual inspection for corrosion, pitting, bulging, leaks, and coating degradation.
  • Internal inspection for cracks, corrosion, and coating deterioration.
  • Foundation and support structure inspection for settlement, cracks, erosion, and misalignment.
  • Corrosion and thickness measurement using ultrasonic thickness, magnetic particle testing, and magnetic flux leakage examination.

• Performing non-destructive testing (NDT) to American Society for Non-destructive Testing certified level II.

• Providing all non-destructive test results and necessary repairs (CDRL A001) to the Government technical point of contact.

• The Government will provide the new salts.

• The Government will dispose of the solidified salts.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price (as indicated in Section B and Section L).

• Period of Performance: March 20, 2026, to July 17, 2026 (for all line items).

• Delivery Schedule: 90 Calendar Days After Contract Award.
