Questions & Answers / Clarifications

This document provides responses to vendor questions regarding the solicitation for the EADS and Southern Point facilities project.

• Sewer Line Removal: Abandoned sewer lines are to be capped at the existing manhole, not completely removed.
• Water Lines: Replacement water lines to the main valve underground must be copper; HDPE with Pack Joints is not an acceptable substitute.
• Dirt Disposal: Cleared materials not designated for stockpiling or remaining Owner's property become the Contractor's property and must be removed from the Project site.
• Sewer Termination: The HNF will not locate the sewer/MH termination point on Southern Point. EADS sewer terminates at an existing manhole.
• Toilets: Old toilets do not need to be saved. The contractor is not responsible for breakage on saved toilets.
• Storage: Existing parking lots and gravel areas at both sites can be used for parking and new material storage. The contractor is responsible for site security and asphalt replacement if damaged.
• Electrical Wiring: For Item 4 on C-1.01(4), regarding connecting an electrical circuit to a new toilet-shower electrical panel, this applies only to Southern Point Site 30 and involves using existing wires found with junction boxes or running new wire to campsites.
• Grids: Use grids as dimensioned; standard shoji grids will not suffice if different types are shown.
• Demolition Timing: The contractor will be notified via email when buildings are clear for demolition, implying a need to wait for sensitive animal vacating.

These clarifications may affect material choices, site work, and demolition procedures. Bidders should review these answers carefully to ensure their proposals accurately reflect the clarified requirements.

This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial construction services, specifically for the replacement of shower/toilet facilities at EADS and Southern Point locations. • Connect current electrical circuit to the adjacent HOST Site in the existing toilet/shower building to the new toilet/shower building as noted on drawings.

• Award Type: Firm Fixed Price Contract.
