Scope of Work
The requirement is for a 6" I.D. nominal x 6-1/2" O.D. hose assembly, weighing a maximum of 2.50 lb per foot (without end fittings), with a 200 lbs working pressure and a temperature rating of -40°F to 180°F. The hose must be abrasion, oxidation, and moisture resistant, supplied in 50-foot lengths (+/- 12"). It features an SBR/EPDM rubber inner tube, high tensile tire cord plies (minimum four for reinforcement), and an EPDM rubber outer cover.
Fittings must include a male heavy camlock with hose shank (equal or equivalent to PT Coupling P/N 60EHD) on one end and a female heavy duty camlock with hose shank (equal or equivalent to PT Coupling P/N 60CHD) on the other. Fittings must be red brass alloy C84400 or equivalent, permanently/mechanically attached by external crimping using a stainless steel crimp ferrule. Cam and groove caps and plugs (non-steel/aluminum, plastic acceptable) must be installed for cleanliness. The layline must include the manufacturer's name, contract number, and pressure rating. The hose shall be Texcel-Flo 4HD or equivalent and must be palletized.
Testing & Certification
Suppliers must provide written certification of hydrostatic testing at 225 PSIG with clean, fresh water for 30 minutes, ensuring zero leaks, weeps, end fitting slippage, or bulges. This certification must be sent to CODE 135, BUILDING 276, and CODE 532.
