• Contract Type: Indefinite Quantity / Firm Fixed Price. The contract will include an option to extend the term for a period of [redacted] months, exercisable in increments of [redacted] months.

• Statutory Authority: 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) – Available from only one or limited number of sources.

• The primary reasons cited are that the Government does not have adequate data or rights to data, and it is not economical to acquire such data (AMC Q and AMC R).

• Technical data is currently unavailable and cannot be developed to permit full and open competition, reflecting the minimum needs of the Government.

• A sources sought notice/Request for Information (RFI) was posted on Contract Opportunities on October 28, 2025.

• Results indicated that Jamaica Bearings (CAGE 04836), an authorized distributor for Pall Aeropower, requested to be added to the mailing list.

• To overcome barriers to competition, the NSN is deemed 1R, requiring a Source Approval Request (SAR) package. A synopsis will be posted to allow other manufacturers to submit SAR packages for DLA Aviation's consideration.

This document informs potential vendors that the current acquisition for the specified item is restricted due to data rights and availability. However, it also provides a clear path for interested manufacturers to become approved sources for future competitive opportunities by submitting a Source Approval Request (SAR) package.
