Scope of Work
The selected contractor will provide one qualified Industrial Hygiene (IH) consultant to:
- Conduct routine safety, occupational health, and environmental exposure assessments.
- Perform noise monitoring and recommend PPE for the Hearing Conservation Program.
- Conduct annual qualitative and quantitative respirator fit testing.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive radiation safety program.
- Provide rapid, 24/7 on-call response to safety, occupational health, and environmental concerns, including hazardous materials incidents.
- Prepare timely incident reports and conduct annual reviews of SHEM Unit programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Occupational Medical Surveillance Program (OMSP) enrollment.
- Perform annual industrial hygiene inspections and serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO).
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Consultant must possess a bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 4 years of professional experience. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) accreditation is highly desired.
- Must demonstrate hands-on knowledge of various industrial hygiene monitoring instruments.
- The consultant is expected to work 40 hours per week, primarily onsite Monday through Friday, with potential for schedule adjustments for non-standard hours or emergencies.
- Personnel will require a background check and PIV card.
