Scope of Work
This Request for Quote (RFQ) covers the acquisition and installation of fall protection systems as detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW) dated February 18, 2026. Key requirements include:
- Ramp 10 UK Sunshade Fall Protection System: Design and install a portable and hard-mounted system compatible with the existing Big Top Manufactured sun shelter. This includes Single Point Anchors (SPAs) and Self Retracting Lifelines (SRLs) for the upper working surface of a UK F-35B, providing over 15ft vertical clearance and rated for 300lbs user weight. Rigid rails are acceptable for the sunshade system.
- Hangar 1830 Portable Fall Protection System: Construct and deliver a portable, freestanding system for the UK portion of Hangar 1830. It must be movable by hand, have brakes, be easily assembled/disassembled, provide a minimum 20ft span and over 15ft vertical clearance, and support 4 users via SRLs (300lbs+). Two units are required to support 4 users.
- Training: Provide in-person training on safe application, use, and fall rescue for both systems, including train-the-trainer sessions.

Special Requirements
Contractor personnel must be escorted on the flightline by 461st FLTS F-35 Site Support personnel and adhere to all flightline rules, including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention. Compliance with base access procedures (background checks, Edwards AFB Form 496, DBIDS Card), Force Protection Condition (FPCON), Health Protection Condition (HPCON), Antiterrorism (AT) Level I training, and Operations Security (OPSEC) training is mandatory. Environmental compliance, including spill reporting and a strict recycling program, is also required. Edwards AFB will provide a laydown area for material receiving, and outside storage is permissible.
