Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force (FA4897 366 CONS PKP) is soliciting proposals for the B2316 Steam Boiler Replacement project at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity requires the replacement of an existing 50 horsepower steam boiler with a new 25 horsepower unit and associated equipment in Building 2316. Proposals are due by June 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM local time.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, services, oversight, and direction to replace the current 50 HP steam boiler with a new 25 HP steam boiler, including a new feedwater/condensate tank. This involves removing and disposing of existing HVAC components, installing a new header valve, insulating new steam piping, routing drain lines, and ensuring watertight roof penetrations. The project specifies the installation of a Fulton ICS-25 steam boiler (or equivalent) and a Fulton HT-30 Horizontal tank (or equivalent) on a factory skid, complete with a modulating burner, BACnet integration, blowdown tank, chemical feeder, and water treatment system. This is not a design-build project, and stamped engineered drawings are not required. The existing boiler is functional, and continuous steam service is not required during construction; no temporary boiler will be needed.
