Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for:
- Site Clean-up: Collection, sorting, and consolidation of MDAS scrap metal in three phases.

- Material Handling & Loading: Safe and efficient handling and loading of scrap metal onto transportation barges.
- Barge Transportation: Primary use of a buyer-owned/leased barge, with secondary option for Navy barge (subject to availability).
- Biosecurity: Ensuring all vehicles and materials are washed clean of dirt, plant material, insects, and snails prior to embarkation.
- Unloading & Recycling/Disposal: Buyer is responsible for all off-island unloading, recycling, and disposal activities, including providing proof of recycling/disposal.
- Site Restoration: Restoring affected areas of SCI to an acceptable condition.
- Compliance & Safety: Adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, environmental regulations, and EM-385-1-1 safety standards.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Fixed Total Price.
- Period of Performance: 365 days from Notice to Proceed.
