Scope of Work

- Annual inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of specified equipment.
- Compliance with VHA Directive 1810, VHA Boiler and Associated Plant Safety Device Testing Manual (8th Edition, 2024), NBIC, NFPA 85, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Servicing one boiler per month during summer months, ensuring only one boiler is out of service at a time.
- Specific tasks include LOTO procedures, draining and cooling boilers, inspecting watersides and firesides, cleaning tubes, inspecting burner assemblies and controls, replacing gauge glass and gaskets, and inspecting safety devices and interlocks.
- Annual NDT ultrasonic thickness testing of the deaerator tank and inspection of the condensate tank.
- Annual replacement of all boiler plant gauges.
- Capability for chemical cleaning upon COR authorization.
