This is a design-build project for a new Alaska Army National Guard Readiness Center Additions (approx. 50,641 SF) at Camp Carroll in the Ft. Richardson side of JBER, Alaska. The readiness center will be designed and constructed to support training, administrative, logistical, and operational requirements of three AKARNG units. Design and construction will include all utility services, systems, site improvements, drainage, parking areas to support the facility. Integral part of the facility will be a designated paved area for organizational (military equipment) parking/staging area. The readiness center will have a general-purpose training/maintenance bay, assembly area, controlled hazardous waste and POL storage area, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, heated storage spaces for each occupying unit, arms vault for each occupying unit, training/classrooms, secure room, and admin/office spaces. Comprehensive interior design services will be required. The readiness center will have a backup generator that will fully support continuous operation of the readiness center during a prolonged utility power interruption. ----Due to policy changes, a Project Labor Agreement has been deemed a requirement on this project. Amendment 0005 includes this requirement which will be submitted during Phase 2.
