Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, 502nd Air Base Wing, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified Total Small Business contractors capable of providing Exhaust Hood and Duct Cleaning Services at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) locations in Texas. This includes Fort Sam Houston, Camp Bullis, Randolph, Lackland, and Chapman Training Annex. Responses are due by March 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM CST.
Scope of Work
The anticipated services involve providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision for comprehensive exhaust hood and duct cleaning. This includes cleaning and inspecting all system components to ensure they are free from grease, dirt, dust, lint, and oil residue, in strict compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 96. Steam hoods are specifically excluded from this requirement. Services will cover various facility types and exhaust hood system configurations across JBSA.
Key Requirements & Performance
Contractors will be responsible for coordinating cleaning schedules with facility managers, providing advance schedules, and confirming appointments. Key tasks include protecting government property, coordinating with UV Bulb contractors where applicable, providing service tickets upon completion, and offering emergency on-call service with a 2-hour response time. All personnel must be trained, qualified, and certified (e.g., CECS, PA/CQ, PAC). A Quality Control Plan (QCP) will be required, and performance will be evaluated against monthly thresholds, with unsatisfactory results requiring re-performance.
