• Crack Width: Average cracks vary in severity up to 3 inches; most are not this severe. The widest cracks are 3 inches. Full depth repair is not required for any cracked areas.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To restore firefighting infrastructure at Jeffco Airbase in Broomfield, CO, by addressing extensive cracking and deterioration on the ramp, helipad area, and parking lot.

• Crack Fill and Seal: Address no more than 17,000 linear feet of cracking using commercial-grade, hot-applied, pourable, self-adhesive asphalt binder or congruent product.

• Sealcoating: Apply two coats of Polymer Modified Masterseal or congruent product to no more than 160,000 sq feet of the ramp/helipad area/parking lot.

• Painting/Striping: Restripe existing lines in the parking area with Colorado DOT approved traffic paint and restripe the existing center line on the ramp with approved FAA Ramp paint.

• Safety Circles: Paint four 110' diameter circles, each with a line width of no less than 5". Alpha-numeric designations (H-1, H-2, H-3, H-4) of 10' x 10' will be centered within each circle, with orientation determined by the Project Inspector.

• Daily progress reports will be communicated via phone and/or email.

• Work must be completed and available for use within 3 days of commencement.

• Completion Deadline: No later than March 30th, 2026.

• Location: USFS leased footprint of the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, Broomfield, CO.

• Materials: Crack fill material must be approved for aviation operations. Sealer must be Polymer Modified Masterseal or congruent product.

• Notification: 72-hour prior notification to the Project Inspector is required before starting restriping work to ensure vehicle removal.

• Coordination: Contractor must confirm airport notification requirements and coordinate with USFS personnel for access to the secure area of the airport.

• Government Furnished: USFS personnel will identify center points and orientation for safety circles and may adjust dimensions. USFS will grant access to the worksite.

• Travel: Daily travel to the site is required; reimbursement is the contractor's responsibility.

• Personnel: Staffing levels and qualifications are at the contractor's discretion but must be commensurate with the project scope.

• Security: Contractor must adhere to all airport rules and regulations. USFS is responsible for granting access.
