Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 375th Contracting Squadron (375 CONS), has issued a Sources Sought notice for the procurement and installation of JSI brand name furniture for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Leased Facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This is market research to identify capable businesses. Responses are due by February 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT.
Purpose & Scope
This Sources Sought aims to determine the availability and technical capability of both large and small businesses to provide and install specific JSI brand name furniture. The project requires all labor, equipment, personnel, and materials to install desks, lateral files, overheads, tack boards, chairs, and bridge components. The furniture must match existing items and adhere to detailed specifications, including colors, finishes, and model numbers, as outlined in Attachment 1. The installation will occur at the USTRANSCOM Leased Facility at 1222 Spruce Street, St. Louis, Missouri, during normal working hours (0730-1630, Monday-Friday).
Contract Details & Set-Aside Research
This is an informational Sources Sought notice, not a Request for Proposal (RFP), and does not guarantee a future solicitation or contract award. The government is conducting market research to inform a potential small business set-aside. Feedback is requested on NAICS code 337211 (Wood Office Furniture Manufacturing) with a 1,000-employee size standard. The government is also exploring the use of joint venturing or partnering, particularly from various small business categories (Small Disadvantaged, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned Small Businesses, and 8(a) companies). A small business set-aside determination will require at least two qualified small businesses to demonstrate their capabilities and compliance with subcontracting limitations.
Submission Requirements
Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement package, not exceeding ten pages, in bullet format. This statement should clearly demonstrate the firm's ability to perform the required services. Responses must be submitted via email to Jin Chung (jin.chung.2@us.af.mil) and Brandon Katka (brandon.katka@us.af.mil) no later than Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM Central Daylight Time (CDT). Proprietary information should be clearly marked.
Special Requirements & Notes
Contractor personnel will require background checks (LEADS) for installation access and must wear identification badges. Work areas may be secure/sensitive, prohibiting cell phones and other electronic devices. A site visit is the contractor's responsibility to verify measurements and conditions. Responses are voluntary, and the government will not pay for response preparation.
