Quick Summary
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is soliciting proposals for Level II Armed Security Guard Services to support disaster response and recovery operations in the State of South Carolina. This requirement involves providing armed security for temporary and fixed facilities, including Joint Field Offices and staging yards. Amendment 0001 reduced the requirement from up to six to up to five vetted guards and invalidated previously submitted proposals.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide Level II Armed Protective Security Officers within 24 hours of contract execution, deploying up to five officers initially. Services are required seven days a week at various locations across South Carolina, as specified in Task Orders. Duties include guard post assignments, access/egress control, security screening, visitor processing, patrols, emergency response, traffic control, and incident reporting. Personnel must be U.S. citizens, meet "For Official Use Only" (FOUO) levels, and have favorably adjudicated public trust suitability. Contractors must use Department of Labor (DOL) category 27102 Guard II security personnel and are responsible for all necessary state/local licenses, permits, firearms, ammunition, and equipment.
