Scope of Work
The contractor will provide group life insurance coverage for eligible LE Staff in Thailand, including employees from various U.S. government agencies such as the Department of State, Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Justice, Treasury, Health and Human Services, Library of Congress, USAGM, Department of Homeland Security, and USAID - OIG. Key benefits include:
- Employee Life Insurance: 24 times monthly basic salary for natural death.
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D): 24 times monthly basic salary, in addition to natural death benefit, covering events worldwide, 24/7, regardless of work-relatedness.
- Public Accidental Death & Disability: According to the insurer's standard policy.
- Coverage Exclusions: Death or injury caused by war, violating the law, resisting arrest, dangerous competitions, or being under the influence of alcohol/drugs (unless prescribed). Proposals must include coverage for acts of terrorism. No funeral benefits are included.
- Eligibility: Full-time or part-time LE Staff under non-temporary direct-hire appointments or personal services agreements/contracts not time-limited to less than one year, paid under the Local Compensation Plan, and employed within Thailand. Dependents and retirees are not covered.
