The contractor will perform annual inspections of 126 pieces of LHE, including overhead cranes, jib cranes, chain hoists, cable hoists, and gantry cranes. All equipment is considered "Overhead Cranes" for contractual purposes.

  • Functional Testing: All hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems must be functionally tested through their full range of operation in accordance with EM 385-1-1. Hoists are to be tested without load.
  • Safety Devices: Inspectors must verify the proper operation of all safety devices.
  • Wire Rope Inspection: Wire ropes shall be inspected in accordance with appropriate OSHA, ASME, EM 385-1-1, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Documentation: Inspectors must submit inspection forms and a certificate of inspection for each piece of equipment within ten days of the final inspection.
  • Completion Deadline: All inspections should be completed no later than May 8, 2026.
