Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, specifically the Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), is soliciting proposals for a non-personal services contract for the maintenance and repair of government-owned appliances. This includes clothing washers, dryers, gear washing stations, full-sized refrigerators, and oven ranges across MCBH and its tenant commands on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Proposals are due March 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, transportation, tools, materials, parts, and supervision necessary for the maintenance, service, and repair of specified appliances. Services include routine and emergency service calls, delivery/installation of new appliances, and "swap out" replacements. While washers, dryers, and gear washing stations require full repair services, dysfunctional full-sized refrigerators and oven ranges will only be removed and replaced with new units of equal or greater specifications. The contractor is responsible for hauling away replaced appliances.
Key Requirements
The contractor must maintain enough spare common parts to support the repair of 12 simultaneous defective appliances. All non-consumable parts removed during repair must be secured, tagged (DD Form 1574), and identified before being turned over to the COR. Appliances must be tested through a full cycle after repair. Performance standards include defined response and completion times for routine and emergency calls. Only U.S. citizens and Permanent Resident Aliens are eligible to perform work, requiring DBIDS credentials for base access. A 90-day warranty is required for service repairs, parts, and labor.
