Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To solicit a contract for labor, materials, and equipment necessary to repair two specific motors for the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

• Repair and replace parts on one York electric motor (640 HP / 3,600 RPM / 460v) and one ODP Baldor motor (75 HP / 1775 RPM / 230/460v).

• Services include:

  • Initial Inspection & Diagnostics (visual inspection, insulation resistance/megger testing, bearing/winding inspection, documentation of findings).
  • Disassembly (disconnect, transport, and controlled disassembly).
  • Mechanical Repairs (inspect shaft, rotor, housing; replace bearings/seals; clean/refurbish components; balance rotor).
  • Electrical Repairs (inspect stator windings, repair/rewind coils, re-insulate/varnish, perform surge comparison testing).
  • Cleaning & Reconditioning (steam/solvent clean, remove contaminants, recoat surfaces).
  • Reassembly (to OEM specifications, align/torque components).
  • Testing & Quality Control (no-load test, vibration analysis, amperage/temperature readings, final electrical testing).
  • Delivery to site with inspection report, repair documentation, electrical test results, and warranty documentation.

• Place of Performance: Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

• Work Schedule: Five (5) days a week, Monday through Friday, between 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., excluding Federal holidays. Work hours/days may be altered with 48 hours' notice and Facility Manager approval.

• Time Frame: The contractor shall complete the work within ninety (90) calendar days.

• All work must comply with OEM recommendations, IEEE standards, and applicable electrical safety regulations.

• MDC Guaynabo will provide one escort for the work. Additional escorts may be requested with 48 hours' notice.
