The U.S. Mission in Brazil requires the administration of the meal voucher program as part of the local compensation plan for approximately 900 locally employed staff. This program shall be effective within 30 days of the contract award, or on the earliest payroll date possible post award.
The Contractor shall consider all the planning, programming, administration and management necessary to ensure that services described hereafter are conducted in accordance with the applicable Brazilian laws and Department of State regulations. The Contractor shall perform all related support functions such as but not limited to the supply, the issuance of meal voucher cards (Market and Restaurant cards), quality control, financial oversight and maintenance of complete records and files. The meal voucher program shall be set up in advance for a starting date within 30 days of contract award, or on the earliest payroll date possible post award.
The Contractor shall provide the meal vouchers (Market and Restaurant cards) in the form of electronic meal cards for locally employed staff. They shall be valid in Brazil 24 hours per day and 7 days per week including holidays.
