Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To acquire linen laundering, delivery, and pickup services for the 355 Medical Group (MDG) personnel at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. The contractor will manage all off-site aspects of laundering services, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries twice a week.

• Provide all equipment, materials, transportation, personnel, labor, supervision, and management for linen laundering, delivery, and pickup.

• Services support patient care programs and base veterinary services.

• Deliveries and pickups occur at the 355 MDG Military Treatment Facility (MTF), unless otherwise directed.

• Specific services include laundering of various items such as pillowcases, sheets, towels, blankets, scrubs, operating gowns, curtains, and heat pack covers.

• Special handling is required for contaminated laundry, requiring compliance with HICPAC guidelines and proper training.

• Clean linen must be free of soil, foreign objects, odors, mildew, chemical residue, bacteria, fungi, and microorganisms.

• Laundry must be bundled, wrapped, and sealed in clear plastic wrap.

• Pick-up and delivery must occur between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.

• Weight verification of delivered and picked-up linen must match delivery tickets.

• Contractor's plant facility must meet inspection standards.

• Compliance with infection control standards (Appendix B) and Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) standards is required.

• Laundering services must take place at contractor-owned and operated facilities.

• Deliveries are primarily made to the 355 MDG facility on DMAFB.

• Compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations, including OSHA and environmental laws, is mandatory.
