Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the contractor to provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, containers, and materials for the collection, removal, and disposal of infectious medical waste. Key requirements include:
- A minimum of two (2) waste hauls per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding federal holidays).
- Provision of receptacles, plastic bags, and puncture-resistant/leak-proof sharps containers. Drivers will supply facility boxes and one liner per box.
- Utilization of a disposal facility compliant with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
- Provision of certified disposal documentation (signed manifest) for each completed removal.
- Waste must be destroyed by incineration or autoclave.
- Services must comply with 105 CMR 480.001 to 480.700 and other relevant directives.
