Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide comprehensive services for the collection, recording, transportation, and disposal of various waste streams in accordance with EPA Standards and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations. This includes:
- Medical Waste: Materials contaminated by blood, bodily fluids, or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM).
- Sharps: Needles, syringes, broken glass, scalpels, and blades.
- Bio Medical Waste: Waste contaminated with infectious agents or materials deemed a threat to public health or the environment. The contractor must provide all labeled containers, manifesting, and final disposal certification. USP Atwater will provide and maintain its own sharps containers.
Exclusions & Clarifications
- Pharmaceutical waste pick-up and disposal are not required under this solicitation.
