Scope of Work
The project encompasses two primary components:
- Jetty Maintenance: Removal of existing stone from approximately 330 linear feet of jetty, installation of vinyl sheet piles to -14.0 feet MLLW, placement of new bedding and armor stone (VDOT Type I and Class AI), and increasing the jetty elevation to +6.0 feet MLLW.
- Maintenance Dredging: Dredging approximately 25,000 cubic yards of sandy material from the 200-foot-wide channel between Stations 32+50 and 45+90 to a required depth of -10.0 feet MLLW (with 1-foot allowable overdepth). Dredging can be performed by hydraulic pipeline or mechanical methods. The dredged material will be beneficially reused at two beach placement sites: Narrows Point (approx. 4,000 CY) and Queens Creek (approx. 21,000 CY).

Purpose of Sources Sought & Submission
This is a Sources Sought notice for market research purposes only; it is not a Request for Proposals. The Government will use the information gathered to determine its acquisition strategy. Interested firms are requested to provide:
- Company details (name, address, POC, phone, email).
- Interest in bidding and reasons if not interested.
- Experience with similar dredging, beach renourishment, jetty, breakwater, or revetment construction projects within the past 5 years, including project descriptions, dollar values, and references.
- Intended bidding structure (sole, prime with subs, joint venture).
- Dollar limits on contract size, largest prime dredging/jetty contracts, and bonding capacity.
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety and health requirements.
