Scope of Work
The subcontractor will be responsible for the fabrication (or procurement), inspection, and delivery of eight mirror bender assemblies and associated components. This includes providing materials and parts per the Bill of Materials (BOM) and developing a manufacturing schedule with defined delivery dates. The benders are to be delivered in three shipments: two units at 24 weeks, two units at 32 weeks, and four units at 40 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO). Key exclusions from the subcontractor's responsibility are mirrors, actuators, and thermal straps. The work requires strict adherence to SLAC's Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) specifications (FP-202-631-14 and SLAC-I-030-714-001-04.1), including specific cleaning processes, leak testing, RGA acceptance criteria, and quality assurance requirements detailed in Appendix A of the SOW.

Submission & Evaluation
Proposals must be submitted electronically as separate Technical (Volume I, max 50 pages) and Business (Volume II) volumes. Required forms include Section A (Subcontract Award Form), Section B (Supplies or Services and Prices), Section H (Key Personnel Clause), Section K (Representations and Certifications, Buy American Act Certification), and Section L Attachments (Request for Clarifications, Technical and Business Checklist). Evaluation will consider technical requirements, manufacturing capabilities, metrology, Quality Assurance program, past performance, major milestones, and price. SLAC intends to award without discussions but reserves the right to conduct them. Proposals must be valid for 90 days.
